Vanderbilt SCNO would not be what it is without its people! Check out just some of the ways that SCNO members engage with fellow members and clients alike.
supporting our client’s programs
SCNO places a high emphasis on supporting our clients in all capacities. For Vanderbilt SCNO’s Special Olympics team, this means taking on the annual Music City Polar Plunge challenge.
PROJECT TEAM BONDING
Project teams embark on year-long engagements, which means cultivating a robust team culture and positive dynamic is all the more important! Exploring the Nashville food scene, game nights, bowling, and cooking are only some activities that our teams have done in the past.
community service
While SCNO members' work on campus contributes to the larger good, members are also encouraged to participate in various volunteer opportunities off campus - whether organization-wide or project-specific. The photo to the left displays a visit to volunteer at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens, a 2023-2024 client.
Case competitions
SCNO members are often found applying their skills to case competitions on local and national scales, including Deloitte’s annual case competition and Vanderbilt’s Global Health Case Competition. SCNO also organizes competitions for Vanderbilt students; most recently, in 2024, SCNO hosted a case competition with the TN Center of Justice.
